I’m not kidding about the thickness of the cable…it was very puny…a fact that I only noticed while in the chair, looking up…I thought about mentioning that to She Who Must Be Obeyed, but best not, it’s scary enough for her as it was - she absolutely refused to sign, cos she did not want to let go of the grab bars at all - that’s why she didn’t sign at all in there
I didn’t think to do this as a vlog but as you can see I thought of it while being bounced around. I was going on about ice creams cos I’ve chomped my way thru ice creams or chips on the Nemesis and Air and Oblivion rides in Alton Towers and many other rides (sneak them in) but I was banned from doing so.
I also attempt to try and see where the camera is and then do whatever pop into my head for it (my face you see on the site in upper right corner, is also from a ride photo from Chessington World of Adventure actually! I think it was the Tomb Blaster ride, so I’m doing a pose with the gun thingy you get on the ride - hey, look at it this way…instead of those dull photo’s where people are just screaming in terror, I’m making fun :D)
Since that ride came with a video camera…so…why not

Watching this at work and it made my day.
To be honest id hate anybody talking to me or signing on rides like that makes me go funny and punch someone I cant stand heights but somehow people managed to get me on rides like that . Looking at how terrified (you as well ) before launching makes me think I will give that type of ride a miss.

You should go on a ride with me, I never shut up, and talk perfectly normally from start to end as if I am sitting on a comfy sofa 
(err…well normal is normal for me, but to you might be something else)
Next day or so, was in Island of Adventure - and on the rollercoasters there, I was keeping up a very one way conversation with my brother in law (who’s a bit like you - can’t stand it but somehow got on) and drinking water thoughout (not a easy feat, G forces can make me…miss ;-)). No video cos don’t want to risk losing my mobile
Was pointing out various landmarks as they rush by.

Fintan - you need something like an Oregon Scientific ATC 2K Action Camera, £85 from http://www.oregonscientific.co.uk.
It has 32Mb RAM built in, SD card slot, waterproof to 3m, and according to PC Pro #153, it’s “ruggedised for action types.. a camera that will survive just about anything… video quality is acceptable without being superb”.
It has a lot of potential uses. I would love to see what the video quality is like from this camera when its been mounted to the front car of a rollercoaster…!
